Last Revised

This policy explains what Avuril collects and why. It is part of our Terms of Service. To ask about your information, email support@avuril.com.

What we collect

  • Account details. The email address and name you sign in with, and the session that keeps you signed in. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
  • What you publish. The facts and photos you put on your page, such as the business name, hours, prices, phone number, address, map pin, and booking link.
  • Your Google listing. If you connect it, the listing you pick and the rating and reviews Google returns for it.
  • Consultancy. The messages and files you send in Consultancy, and our replies.
  • Payments. Our payment provider handles the card. We keep a record of the plan, the payment, and any refund or dispute. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Support messages. What you send through the contact form or by email, and the address you send it from.
  • Technical logs. The usual records a website keeps to run and to stop abuse, such as a browser type and the network address a request came from, including requests from AI assistants that use direct lookup.

What your page makes public

Your page is meant to be read. Anything you publish on it can be opened by anyone, read by AI assistants and search engines, returned in direct lookups, and copied by others. We cannot pull back a copy someone else has already made. Do not put anything on your page that you do not want in public.

Why we use it

  • To run your account and publish your pages;
  • To show your Reviews and Nearby Events boards and send in-app notices;
  • To answer you in Consultancy and support;
  • To take payment and handle refunds and disputes;
  • To keep the service secure, stop misuse, and meet legal duties; and
  • To see, in aggregate, whether the site is working.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who else handles it

We use a few companies to run Avuril. They handle information for us:

  • Convex, for the database, file storage, and scheduled jobs;
  • Better Auth, for sign-in and account security;
  • Google, for Google sign-in if you use it, and for your listing's rating and reviews;
  • Slack, where our team reads and answers Consultancy messages in a private channel;
  • Dodo Payments, for checkout, refunds, and receipts;
  • Resend, for sign-in and support email; and
  • Vercel, for hosting and a simple count of visits.

To fill your Nearby Events board, we send your page's map location to Ticketmaster, Nager.Date, and MET Norway. We do not send them your name or email.

These companies may store information in countries other than yours. We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect Avuril or other people from harm or fraud, or if the business changes hands, in which case this policy still applies to it.

How long we keep it

We keep account and page information while your account is open. If you ask us to delete the account, we delete your pages, photos, uploaded files, Consultancy conversations and their text record, notifications, and sign-in details. We keep payment records for as long as we need them to show what was charged and to meet legal duties.

We also keep a short deletion record: the account id, the email address, the plan, the payment ids, how many pages the account had, and the dates. It exists so we can show that an account used Avuril and was later deleted, which is what a payment dispute asks about. It holds no page text, no photos, and no conversation.

In Consultancy, your copy of a conversation and its files are deleted 14 days after the conversation is closed. We keep a text record of the conversation, without files, for 90 days so we can answer questions about it later. If you delete the account, that text record goes with the rest of the account, straight away. The copy in our private Slack channel may be kept longer.

A published page stays public until you unpublish it, it goes offline, or the account is deleted.

Security

We take reasonable care to protect what we store. No service can promise that storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we are not responsible for access we could not reasonably prevent.

Your choices

You can change or unpublish the facts on your pages yourself, and unlink your Google listing at any time. For anything else, such as a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion, email support@avuril.com from the address on the account. We may ask you to confirm it is you.

If the law that applies to you gives you other rights over your information, email us and we will follow that law. We will not treat you worse for asking.

Cookies

We use a cookie to keep you signed in. Your theme choice is stored in the browser, on this device only. Vercel Analytics counts visits without building a profile of you. We do not use advertising cookies.

Children

Avuril is for adults who run a business. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top will change. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the product.
