Acceptable Use Policy

Last revised

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms.

Allowed use

You may use Avuril to audit public websites, generate and save reports for legitimate research, collaborate within your organization where permitted, monitor sites and alerts, and use billing features in accordance with plan limits.

Prohibited conduct

You may not, and may not attempt to:

  • Violate applicable law, sanctions, export controls, or third-party platform rules—including attempting to bypass geographic, KYC, or eligibility restrictions.
  • Access the Service or third-party systems using stolen credentials, phishing, credential stuffing, or other intrusions.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of Avuril infrastructure without prior written authorization, or interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Send malware, overload systems with unreasonable request volume, or participate in denial-of-service attacks.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service except where prohibited by law.
  • Misuse support channels or submit fraudulent refund or chargeback claims.
  • Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm individuals.
  • Scrape, harvest, or extract Avuril data in bulk in violation of the Terms or technical limits, or resell access to Avuril without authorization.

Automation and API use

If Avuril exposes APIs or rate limits, you must respect those limits and documentation. Automated access that degrades service for others or circumvents entitlements is prohibited unless explicitly permitted in writing.

Security and accounts

Keep credentials confidential. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not sell, share, or transfer accounts except as allowed by Avuril in writing.

Misrepresentation

You may not represent that Avuril outputs are guaranteed forecasts, official crawler-operator communications, or personalized professional advice. When sharing outputs publicly, include appropriate context and disclaimers.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations, remove content, throttle access, suspend accounts, or terminate the Service relationship. We may cooperate with law enforcement and platforms when required or appropriate.
